Dennis Maxwell is Cari’s husband of 34 years, Stephanie and Julies Dad, and Isaac’s Pawpaw.
He is an aspiring writer, public speaker, and adventurer. He lives near the Illinois River in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on 9 acres with nearly a mile of running trails.
He began his official grocery career at 17 as a bagger and worked a variety of jobs before leaving corporate life as Director of Marketing for an 80-store grocery chain with sales of three-quarters of a billion dollars. He has owned four successful businesses including a 17-store retail chain, commercial real estate, and a construction company.
He is an avid runner with multiple marathons, trail races and is the current Sunset Lake 24 hour masters champion with 83.23 miles ran. He once ran at least a 5k per day for an entire year. He enjoys scuba diving, repelling, parachuting, bungee jumping, parasailing, hiking, and once spent 30 hours in a coffin. He is planning a spring 2021 solo kayak trip from his home to the Mississippi River.
He has placed first in multiple Toastmaster speaking contests and was an Oklahoma finalist. He has spoken for several organizations including the Oklahoman Newspaper, Prairie Grove Police Department, and the Made in Oklahoma Coalition.
He is in the editing phase of his first novel titled “The Promise of the Pines” which takes the reader on a journey as one man escapes from captivity and frees his soul at the same time.
He is striving to bring glory to his Creator by Inspiring others to live their best lives.
